We're Carla and Ian Lang -- a couple of hard working professionals. Carla works as an accounting clerk at a property management firm in Dartmouth and Ian continues to manage a small business called Caedrius Group.
Although originally we were both born and raised near Toronto, Ontario, we now live in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. We both think that out of all of our midnight and garbage bag moves, that this has been by far the best one. We hope that this will be the last of our moves for a very long time. We will be starting to travel around the world soon now that we have settled down somewhat.
Alison Elyse is our daughter. She arrived on August 27th, 2009 at 11:48a, weighing in at 8lb, 9.6oz. Labour had only started at around 9:30 that morning! We made it to the hospital in morning traffic in record time. Carla didn't have a chance to get her epidural, but she did manage to take a couple of huffs from a Nitrous Oxide supply before Alison barged into the world.
We've got boatloads of pictures on Flickr if you'd like to have a peek. If you do the free registration, there's even more photos available to you if you add us as a contact and let us know.
Our whole story is simply that we're high school sweethearts. Way back at the end of the 1980's when the big hair and punk revolutions were giving away to grunge.. that's when we started dating. We skipped many days from Pickering High School with our friends back then -- Paul B., Shane O., Dave V. to name a few.. Oh boy did that Chevette 'S' get some miles put on it. The orange stripe made it go faster-- really. over 20 years.. It's a wonderful look back for us.
We both have Facebook and Flickr accounts, so please feel free to add us if we haven't found you yet. Hit us up for the links!
I felt that it was important for us to start documenting our lives --not to keep up with the Joneses and to be a part of the social media revolution, but to be able to look back and measure our successes and learn from our failures. We keep our family blogs here, as well as Ian maintaining blogs at ianglang.com and at caedriusgroup.com.
